Medicare Supplements
Currently, the most popular plans for those folks turing 65 are plans G and N. Both pick up the gaps in coverage with orginal Medicare, except for the Part B deductible ( in 2023 is $226). Plan N also does not cover Excess charges and has a $20 co-pay when you visit the doctor and a $50 co-pay when you visit the emergency room (it is waived if you are admitted). Plan K has an Out-of-Pocket yearly limit of $6,940 and Plan L has an Out-of-Pocket limit of $3,470 in 2023.
For folks on Medicare before January 1, 2020, they can also own, and purchase new, plans C and F. Both of these plans do cover the Part B deductible, although Plan C does not cover Excess charges.
